Broccoli, Cheddar & Goat Cheese Quiche
I’m a baker first and a cook second. I grew up with flour and butter, and will always feel more comfortable working with them than meat and vegetables. The great thing about a quiche is that satisfies my inner baker while helping my inner cook make dinner! It does take time, since you need to make the crust, but it’s definitely worth it. Scroll down for more pictures, hope you enjoy! Continue reading
Dulce De Leche Brownies
Every now and then you need something over-the-top, something decadent, something that makes you say ‘OMG’. When you’re next in one of those moods, this is the recipe for you. This recipe is delicious and definitely a crowd pleaser, if you’re nice enough to share. Hope you enjoy!
Kale, Feta & Quinoa Salad
Spring has sprung and so had salad season! Well, not that salad has a season, but I find that when Spring comes I’m just more excited about vegetables and salads (as excited as I can be about them, salads have nothing on cookies). This is a great salad, it’s got the right combination of flavours and textures, and makes very tasty leftovers. Hope you enjoy! Continue reading
Soft Brown Butter Gingersnaps
Everyone loves a soft cookie, and these gingersnaps deliver by using coconut oil combined with rich and nutty brown butter. They have just the right amount of ginger, and they really shine when rolled in the sugar – hope you enjoy!
Olive Garden Breadsticks Copycat Recipe
I’m a ‘carbivore’ (yes I made that word up), I love carbs and will eat them any way possible. So when I found this recipe that claimed to be as good as the restaurant version, I had to try it – and I’m glad I did! Bread can be tricky to make, but this recipe creates a fluffy and versatile breadstick that is definitely worth your time. Hope you enjoy! Continue reading
Bananas are great, but I can never seem to finish a bunch. I always end up having a few that are too brown to eat, but yet they’re perfect for baking – what a shame! I call these BOD muffins because their standout ingredients are: bananas, oats, and dates. The recipe produces light and fluffy muffins with a great texture from the oats, and the sour cream makes it not too sweet but works perfectly with the dates and bananas. Hope you enjoy! Ricotta Gnocchi with Greens and Cream
I love gnocchi, it’s my favourite pasta. Years ago, I ate my way through Italy and had to have gnocchi every single day; if I didn’t have it at lunch, I had to have it for dinner. There was a bit of a disaster a few years ago when I tried to make gnocchi from scratch, but when I saw this recipe I knew I had to try again. The gnocchi and the sauce are delicious, but I also use this recipe just for the gnocchi and switch up the saucy component. Hope you enjoy!
Sweet & Salty Popcorn Bark
This recipe is so easy and delicious, it’s a great one to have up your sleeve. It’s very versatile – great as a snack, perfect as a gift, even bring it to a dinner party for dessert! My only note is that I recommend you keep it refrigerated until serving, as the chocolate has a better snap that way. Hope you enjoy!
Blueberry Lemon Brûlée Tart
This tart is all about pairs – lemon and blueberry are perfect partners, and the crunchy top from the brûléed sugar balances out the buttery crust. It takes time, but it’s a perfect dessert to bring out and wow your dinner guests. Hope you enjoy!
By the way, new year, new look! What do you think?
