Sweet & Salty Popcorn Bark
This recipe is so easy and delicious, it’s a great one to have up your sleeve. It’s very versatile – great as a snack, perfect as a gift, even bring it to a dinner party for dessert! My only note is that I recommend you keep it refrigerated until serving, as the chocolate has a better snap that way. Hope you enjoy!
Chewy Chocolate Macaroons
I love chocolate and I love coconut, put them together and I am very happy. This recipe is not only simple and delicious, it is dairy and gluten free, so it’s a crowd pleaser for everyone. Hope you enjoy!

Coconut Caramel Brownies
Coconut Caramel Brownies…need I say more?! These were ooey, gooey, chocolately, chewy, goodness. My only warning, other than hide these from friends or family because they will disappear, is to read this ‘How to Caramelize Sugar‘ before starting if you’re not super comfortable with wet caramelizaiton (because even I wasn’t and messed up and had to start from scratch a second time). Enjoy!

Wicked Whoopie Pies
I was house/offspring sitting again and since I had the help, decided to tackle a recipe I’ve always wanted to try – whoopie pies! Traditional recipes have a marshmallow filling, but we used cream cheese icing because my ‘baking assistant’ loves it and we didn’t feel like going out to buy Fluff. We made them and even though we both bake a lot, we were shocked at how good they were. The only downside is that because you put two together, it only makes 12 servings and you’re going to want more! Continue reading
Cookie Cutter Perfect Sugar Cookies
I was asked to make cookies for a friend’s Oscar party so I found this recipe that is perfect for using cookie cutters. I couldn’t find a Oscar award shaped cookie cutter in such a short time period, so I got one 3D printed – it is so cool! A huge thank you to Klever at DreamQii for printing it for me. These cookies are great for all shapes, sizes and toppings, hope you enjoy! Continue reading
My Favourite Chocolate Chip Cookies
Happy New Year! I want to start off by wishing you all a great year ahead and luck with all of your resolutions. I didn’t make a weight loss or sugar reduction resolutions because, let’s be honest, that wouldn’t be so successful when I have a baking blog. But, one of my resolutions this year is to devote more energy to my My Nana’s Kitchen, as it seems like you all out there Continue reading
The $750 Decadence D’Or Cupcake
I saw a blog listing the 10 most expensive desserts in the world, and despite my rational side telling my sweet tooth that they were ridiculous, I still wanted them. Check out the post yourself here and you’ll to see what I mean. In order to not spend thousands of dollars, I decided to make my own. So I give you my version of the $750 Decadence D’Or Cupcake. Continue reading
Dark and Dangerous Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies
I had a chocolate craving so I made these, and they definitely hit the spot! Mine ended up being quadruple chocolate chip because I only had milk and white striped chocolate chips (rather than just one or the other), but I wasn’t complaining about it! Continue reading
Zebra Fudge Cookies
It’s a big week for me: it’s my birthday, I got a new job (soon to be a Brand Coordinator for Lifetime and Food Network!), and I’m a guest blogger for FoodStory – this great startup that provides information on Toronto’s farmers markets and even has delivery if you can’t make it (or can and just can’t carry it all home). I wrote about my why for starting this blog, my love of markets Continue reading
